COVID-19 updates:  January 1st, 2021

Thank you for your outpouring support of local businesses!  As we continue to adapt to a new lifestyle under VA phase 3 reopening, we want to share with you some information to help make your shopping at the Book Exchange safe and easy.

  • Face covering as mandated by Governor Northam's EO63 is still required for staffs as well as customers before entering and while inside our store.  Although there are some exceptions, we kindly ask that you consider wearing a face covering to protect yourself and others.  Try our curbside assistance for those unable to enter our store without a face mask or prefer not to during this time.

  • Please maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance between individuals who are not members of the same household to ensure proper social distancing.

  • For customers who don't want to come in but still would like to shop with us, we are still providing curbside assistance. You can drop-off your trade, pick-up your pre-purchased items right here in our parking lot. For drop-off trades, please make sure to include your contact information. To pre-purchase books, movies, and music, you can call ahead and complete the transaction over the phone with your credit card. Using your store credit? No problem. Just bring your store credit with you when you pick-up your items. Once you are ready for us, give us a call and we will run out to your car with your items.

  • Trades are always welcome and accepted daily!  We do, however require any customers with more than 2 bags (equivalent of grocery size) to drop off their trade so that we can effectively keep up with social distancing and disinfecting our store.

  • To ensure the safety of everyone, we are continuing to disinfect our store hourly.

  • All events are canceled until further notice.

We appreciate your support, understanding, and cooperation at this time, and we will keep you posted on any changes as soon as they become available.  We hope to see you in store soon!
